6/25/08 WCC Announces 2008 Spring All-Academic Teams San Bruno, CA - The WCC announced the 2008 Spring All-Academic Teams today, with Saint Mary's receiving 10 honorees from five sports. The 2008 WCC All-Academic teams honor some of the league's finest examples of the consummate scholar-athlete. To be considered, a student-athlete must earn at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his or her team.
Moraga, CA - When US Rowing announced their national camp invitees, two Saint Mary's rowers were on the lists. Junior Johanna Timmer has been invited to the 2008 Women's National Team/U23 Summer Selection Camp and Freshman Jacqui Lindo was 2008 Women's National Team Freshman Camp.
Philadelphia, PA - In the Dad Vail Regatta from the Schuylkill River, the Saint Mary's women's rowing team participated in two events. Both varsity eight boats competed in the regatta, with the first varsity eight boat posting an 11th place finish overall, while the second varsity eight finished fourth in their heat race.
